About Us - Musical Theatre for Kids

Time To Shine was established in 1989, offering engaging children theatre classes that are taught by Producer, Director, and owner Kathy Smith, along with her team of student teachers, crew, and choreographers. 

Time To Shine was created to give children the opportunity to participate in a staged theatre production just for the 'FUN of it'!!! 

The program incorporates music, movement, pantomime, and improvisation, allowing kids to learn about acting, dancing, singing, and essential theatre terminology. During Time To Shine classes, children prepare and practice a variety of routines, monologues, dialogue, and choreographed numbers. 

Our musical theatre program is available throughout the year for Pre-K through 8th grade (ages 4-14), giving your child the chance to engage in confidence building workshops after school and throughout the summer. 

The culmination of the classes' enthusiastic efforts and talents is showcased in a musical theatre production when it is indeed... the kids' 'Time To Shine'!!! 

Currently, Time To Shine operates in two locations, with classes available throughout the school year in Rockville Centre. If you are a member of Atlantic Beach Club, we invite you to join our summer program!
