About Us

Time To Shine was established in 1989.  All classes are taught by Producer, Director and owner of Time To Shine, Kathy Smith.  She is assisted by student teachers, crew and choreographers.

Time To Shine has been created to give children the opportunity to participate in a staged theatre production just for the "FUN of it"!!!

The program incorporates music, movement, pantomime and improvisation.  This allows the children to learn about acting, dancing, singing and theatre terminology.  In addition to these activities, during Time To Shine classes the children prepare and practice a variety of routines, monologues, dialogue, and choreographed numbers.

Our musical theatre program is offered throughout the entire year for Pre-K through 8th grade (ages 4-14).  Your child has the opportunity to participate in the confidence building, fun workshops after school, and throughout the summer.

A culmination of the classes' enthusiastic efforts and talents are presented in a musical theatre production when it is indeed...the kids "Time To Shine"!!!

Currently Time To Shine has two program locations.  Classes are available throughout the school year in Rockville Centre.  If you are a member of Atlantic Beach Club, join our summer program!
